Why would I need training?

Training can significantly reduce the learning curve on a new product. Software documention must, by its nature, cover every tool, function and feature in detail. A training class on a particular topic has the ability to pull out just the specific information you need to get you going in the direction you want. By boiling down the information and giving you the opportunity to see particular tools in action, training can give you the jump-start you need to get your database working and get back to business.

Why would I take a Webinar?

Webinars provide many of the benefits of the full training sessions, but at a much lower cost and without requiring travel by either the attendees or the instructor. Webinars cover much of the same information and concepts as the live training sessions, but they require only two hours of your time and you can participate from the comfort and convenience of your own office or home. The Webinars are not pre-recorded movies. You will be watching a live instructor demonstrate and explain the material in real-time. You are able to ask questions and interact with the instructor and the other attendees.

How do the Webinars work?

Webinars are offered as both visual and audio training sessions. When you register for a Webinar, you will receive course materials via email. You will also receive instructions and a password which allows you participate in the Webinar. You will log into the training session on your computer. This will allow you to see the instructor's screen and to interact with the instructor and the other attendees via a chat window. You will also call a telephone number which connects you to a conference call so you can hear the class and ask questions. The telephone number is not toll-free, but with the current cost of long distance, even an international call should not cost more than $15-$20 for the two hour webinar if you have a long distance calling discount plan. If you are not sure, you should check with your telephone company prior to registering for a Webinar.

What do I need to partipate?

You will need a high speed internet connection and a telephone line. You do not need to have Sesame itself. The internet connection allows you to see the webinar. The telephone line allows you hear it. Webinars are conducted via Citrix GoToMeeting. At any time before the webinar, you can go to http://www.gotomeeting.com. Once there, click the Join A Meeting button. This will allow you to download and install the free Citrix meeting software. When you register for a Webinar, you will be given the meeting number, password and telephone number for your Webinar.

How many people will be in my Webinar?

No more than 5, plus the instructor.

How much does it cost?

Webinars are $150 plus whatever your telephone company charges for the two hour telephone call. Discounts are offered for multiple attendees or multiple webinars.
