Why? Erika Yoxall, Hammer's owner, started out her "computer professional" life as an executive assistant at a manufacturing plant. From that perspective, with access to all of the company's operational systems, she noticed that subtle intelligent improvements could be made to the operation that would increase efficiency and improve delivery of necessary information to her boss without disrupting production. These improvements began saving him an awful lot of money.

With his encouragement, Erika recognized that she really had a knack for finding small changes to a system which would result in large improvements. So she took her show on the road. She now owns and operates Hammer Data Systems, providing system design, database programming and web page integration to businesses big and small.

Lately, Hammer has been working on development of Sesame Database Manager, a new product from Lantica Software.
